There are two problems in my home: papers and laundry. They never dance away!
I can never find anything, I have fall behind on bills a few times as a result, and I still haven't file taxes for 2004 because I keep losing my W2 and very soon I am facing serious problems because of that. Should I just burn everything since these piles of papers are clearly not helping me??
And the laundry...I enjoy four laundry baskets and still have clothes contained by piles on the floor because my laundry baskets are full of clean laundry.
What is the furtive to not getting swallowed by laundry and paper work? I get the impression like it would lug me forever just to find caught up, and by next, more laundry and papers will be piled up.
I can't take it anymore. How do other society do it? If I had kids I would simply make them do it, similar to my parents did.
Hiring help is not an choice at all. I'm a student beside no money.
Answers: For just below $20, you can buy a laundry rack from Target or Walmart to position near your dryer. Hang the clothing as they come out of the dryer, or at smallest drape them over the top. This will keep your piles stale the floor, and it is much easier to grab a handful of clothing on hangar and take them to the closet than a picnic basket of wrinkled clothes that will just produce you wish you have time to iron everything!
For the paperwork, clear off one table so you own a place to work. Go around the house with a plastic tub and collect ALL the papers lying around. Get a trusted friend to come and minister to you sort through these and discard the ones you no longer need. Put the ones you own to deal beside immediately contained by one pile, and the ones you need to settlement with subsequently or file surrounded by a second pile. Have your friend stay by your side until you have deal with the primary pile. Chances are that anxiety is keeping you from getting this done -- disorganization and procrastination are usually a sign of other issues. Perhaps you are overwhelmed at have to tackle the main task of getting through college and managing your finances on your own. If your parents forced you to tackle their problems beside clutter/laundry/paperwork when you were childish, perhaps you hold some residual issues with not have the guidance, participation or assistance you needed contained by other areas while growing up. Maybe this is your little rebellion! But you HAVE GOT TO attain those taxes turned in -- it will cost you like mad of money and possibly some jail time, otherwise. If you do NOTHING else, DO THAT ONE THING, PLEASE. That is urgent.
So, first step is to identify a friend who will aid you without judge you. Make the call today and set an appointment. Barter to confer equal time for something that you are good at that he or she requirements.
Best of luck to you.
Laundry and papers are my two biggest problems also. I have a book call "Sink Reflections", it's written by Marla Cilley, also known as the Flylady. She have a website at Flylady.org. This website has save my life! I have to start out small, doing things 15 minutes at a time. I found out I had too tons clothes and not enough space to put them away, that's one rationale why the laundry piled up. Please check out her website, don't get overwhelmed. Good luck to you, I know how it feel!
