I have a 1.5 year feeble chihuahua that is 99% potty trained. But, he have a certain corner of the couch, and the hearth rug underneath, that he will not stop marking.
I enjoy cleaned the carpet near a steamer and "pet" cleaning solution 3 times. I have used Nature's Miracle. I own chased him out of the room when I goes contained by there. Nothing is helping!
He will not pee contained by the house in front of me. He sneaks past its sell-by date and does it. I know it's because he smells the scent of the pee, and keeps going spinal column to it.
What can I do to eliminate the odor once and for adjectives?
I'm worried the urine is soaked all the instrument to the carpet insulation. It's expensive carpet. I merely got it installed 1 year ago. I am a vastly clean soul. The slight smell of dog piss in my living room is grossing me out! Help!
Answers: If he have not been neuter, then do it. Did you soak the Nature's Miracle down to the hearth rug pad and endow with it up to 2 weeks to work? It also won't work if you treated the spot with any manner of soap/detergent before applying. You may also try Simple Solution Oxy Cleaner from the pet stores. It have hydrogen peroxide in it that works all right (also soaking it down to the carpet pad). Both may require multiple applications (well, if you can hold on to him off the spot). Also clear sure that there is not a medical problem such as a UTI. Consult your vet for behavior modification suggestions.
