Answers: Acetone is the main ingredient contained by nail polish remover. I don't know what the effect of acetone on marble is. I enjoy read of stain removal techniques using acetone to remove other stains, (ink, tea, etc) from marble. Try wash it with heat, mild soapy water, rinse & dry.
If it have etched the surface (cloudy spot), you may have to hold it professionally polished.
You can use aclohol or some acetone and rub it off.
