a gas can spilled over in our storage space (connected to our home) and come in through the floor of our living room and closet (concrete slab house). we've tried everything, dish soap, wash detergent, vinegar, baking soda, carpet cleaner, etc. and still can't procure the smell gone! it's been almost 2 days immediately and still smells pretty bad. we also hold fans contained by the windows to take the air out. I'm 8 months pregnant and am concernced in the region of my unborn baby's health! please relieve!!
Answers: You may want to have a professional come and insightful clean your carpet.. Until then maintain the windows plain and try not to spend too much time in the room(s) where on earth the fumes are strongest. You can also try a wet/dry shopvac to extract any liquid still surrounded by the carpet... You can also try sprinkling baking soda on your carpet to remove the odor.
I would consult a professional..
