No matter what I do, when my laundry comes out of the dryer, it smells great, but as soon as the stuff softener scent starts to wear off, they smell almost as desperate as before I wash them. My husband works construction, and we are both smokers. I am also having trouble in actual fact getting all the dirt out of our clothes. We live contained by Georgia, and the red dirt doesn't come out, all my kids pant look like I don't rinse them, cause the knees and below are adjectives red/brown stained. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm of a mind to try ANYTHING.
tag on some pine sol in to the wash machine beside your regular laundry soap.
try soaking them for one hr up to that time washing them
contained by hot water/soap and downey
after the softner scent wears past its sell-by date use febreze or cologne
try using oxyclean when laundering them
thats adjectives i can think of
Answers: Add either 2/3 cup of baking soda, borax or vinegar to your swab, they all remove odors from the fiber of garments. Borax works great to remove GA red dirt ground within and boosts the cleaning power of your detergent. You may want to run particularly dirty garments surrounded by soaker loads with your detergent and the borax (let them soak for an hour or so since running the agitation wash cycle.)
