Hole within my pocket? i have alot of keys contained by my pockets due to work....

i have alot of keys contained by my pockets due to work. I tend to get a small hole on the inside of the pocket. This drives me nuts, because i don't want to throw away good clothes for a minor hole contained by the pocket. I have a couple of pairs of shorts (khaki type material) and pants that hold holes in their right pockets.
Is there anything that i can do to fix them? I'm thinking turning the duo inside out and sewing a patch where the hole is. However is that going to create a rough surface against my leg? I need some expert sewing back!
Answers:    I would get some nice strong but smooth material and generate a new piece to stitch over the pocket a bit bigger than the area of the hole or if you are handy satisfactory you can buy ready made pockets to replace in your shorts
To prevent further deface perhaps you might like to try this, jump to a shop that sells bags or travel products and buy what we call in Australia - a bum rucksack - it goes around the waist on the outside of your clothes and has a pouch near a zip front - it
can be worn in front or to one side if it is more comfortable
that route. Put your keys in this and it is smaller amount likely to damage - your pockets.
i own included a website belowwhich has illustrations to sustain you
I would purchase some Iron-on patches to place inside the pocket of each duo of pants/shorts before the hole forms. This patch will take the brunt of the key, not the clothing material. As far as the holes that are already there, you are going to want to any patch them, or scrap them and get trial clothes. Take them to a seamstress to see if they are able to fix. Yes you can patch them or sew the hole up.
