My partner has stained his nike air bottoms beside diesel fuel?
I've washed it in the wash machine with soap powder, Ace coast, Vanish but still the stains are there?
I've washed them by mitt in Domestos bleach but still no luck!
I'm out of ideas of what to do?
Can you give a hand me to remove the stains?
I don't wanna throw them away the cost lb70 and he's only worn them about 3 times.
Since diesel is a petroleum product you entail something with a degreasing agent. I would try some 'greased lightening' I perfer the orange powered one. Then I would mix up some oxy verbs with some water (don't use fingers) and apply to shoes. Then hose as normal. I dont know any thing that removes diesel stains and ive be a mechanic for 30 years so i know.Maybe you can diguise the stain i know they still make stuff to whiten trainers,presuming there white.
Full strength liquid laundry detergent and a brush. Repeat as needed. Stain gone, use Pine Sol or soft Spc N Span to remove odor.
If color of item is ABSOLUTELY color fast and all else fail, bar of Lava soap, water & brush as end resort. Test Lava on an inside seam to determine if color will stay or not before trying on visible side of item.
Sorry to read out but start looking for new pair because i work beside problem everyday use wd 40 spray on to the stain then rub with squelchy cloth works a treat
Try white vinegar, it works on every article esle!! But it bleach hasn't done it, then probably nothing will!! :( You propose you can afford to waste diesel like this , shame on you .
Answers: Try parrafin or white spirit its obedient for these kind of stains!
