I subscribed to flylady.net but lately haven't "arrived". The "idea" of it is fantastic, but it just hasn't worked for me even so. It's almost like my people sabotages my hard work. Any ideas for faster results or similar sites. Or decluttering philosophy or success stories of your own?
Answers:    According to the testimonials that she sends out each day I guess it's working great for a lot of those.
After being on her enumerate for several years now I've set myself to no-mail and a short time ago take from the web-site what I have need of. Don't need adjectives of the testimonials and product updates to clutter up my in-box (one less item to clean out).
Then I've only just printed on three sheets what I need and put that on my fridge surrounded by sheet protectors. One is the weekly zones, consequently the weekly to-do list and third my day after day schedule.

When you start out, I contemplate the e-mails are a bit much, because it's confusing where you should start. As Marla say, start in the kitchen and verbs your sink. Once you're done with the sink it's open-handed of addicting to then clear the surfaces around the sink and so on.
After you're done next to the sink, check which zone you're currently working on and just do the decluttering. If it's decluttered and you're still surrounded by the same week, after you can start the deeper cleaning. So declutter first in anything zone you're in and once it's decluttered verbs. Cleaning goes plentifully faster w/o clutter in the course.
The key really is to build routines and not to bring more stuff into the house than you're getting rid of. BTW, if you want to bring back rid of things and not do goodwill runs I found Freecycle to be great. You can list items on your local Freecycle group as you're decluttering and you opt who you'll let come to your door or other arranged pick-up place to lift the things off your hand for free (well, you can't charge anything for the items either, but they're out of your house). Hope you can find something that works for you. Housework never ends!
LOL, I fully figure out your plight.
I get no oblige, and keep inheriting toddler stuff, we baby sit the 2 grandsons, 1 year and 9 months, so they are 'needing' more and more unwanted items to keep them colonized... just when I nearly hold a handle on one room, surrounded by comes more...LOL
