Like Cat's or Timbalands.?
I would like to not sure if it would work.
Leather should be cleaned with saddle soap. If you use laundry detergent you might as all right kiss them good bye.
i'm presuming by work boots you mean steel toe caps?
can you suppose the noise and possibly the damage they may do to drum of your wash machine
i would scrub them all over next to a nail brush and steam from a pan of boiling hose
Answers: I put all sorts of things into the wash machine - including horse rugs. I have wash trainers too.
I'm not so sure with cats or timbas that I wouldnt just paw wash them though. Warm soapy water - even if they soak a while, use a lenient scrubbing brush and then rinse and pack next to scrunched up newspaper. This help absorb the moisture and heps prevent shrinkage. Place somewhere warm and dry - but at one remove on a radiator or a boiler.
If placing on top of a boiler put them on something first - like a bowl or something that lift them off the direct heat.
Hope this help.
i know a friend who put all he's sports shoes in the wash
i would assume you can with boots
i wouldnt cos of the suede effect u have on boots and or the effect they would have on the drum. my hubby puts dettol inside his boots to verbs them and get rid of smell. Sports shoes go fine the the wash machine but if the work boots are leather no way. verbs as you would any leather after a good hand valet and dry polish them.
