Green alternative to using plastic shopping lots to put used cat litter within? I hate to not achieve plastic bags at the super marketplace...

I hate to not achieve plastic bags at the super marketplace because I use them to clean out my cat litter box and after I take the backpack to the dumpster in my apartment complex. I don't want to purely put the used litter in the bathroom waste, I can't flush it, and I don't want to waste an entire rubbish bag for one cleaning. I can't dally until the bathroom or kitchen garbage is full to verbs it out. Does anyone have any other concept so I won't continue to contribute to the plastic shoulder bag problem? PLEASE no smarta$$ answers.

This may not work for you--do you have possums? I would rotate litter boxes inside to outside, the possums would devour the catpoop, rain wash the pee and sun dried it out. This really works but you need possums. Another use for cat poop--I would put it within chipmunk holes-chases them away.

Can you keep a small covered can outside your door somewhere, so you can put a bunch of poo within there earlier throwing it out? That would at least cut down on the number of oodles you use. Otherwise, are paper stacks feasible?

Depending on how zealous you are about recycle (and good for you if you are!) you can lay down bags to use. I merely googled "biodegradable plastic bags" and tons of websites came up- possibly you can find bags made out of items that will break down after they are buried, but you will probably want to order them depending on where on earth you live...

When I hear the term "Going Green", I guess how did our great grandparents do things? They had recycle down to a science, and nothing be ever wasted! My grandmother with the sole purpose had 1 grocery backpack of garbage per week, everything else be reused / recycled, and there be 7 living under her roof full time. Only 1 bathroom, 1 B&W TV(no remote), 1 rotary dial phone, NO video games and we adjectives survived!
