I bought a pair of linen pant yesterday. I got them a bit too big because the next size down be **just the right length** and I figured when I wash them, they would shrink, making them too small and short (yuck).
Anyways, lol... the main ask is: Does linen shrink? :)
Check the stub for what it's made from. Linen should be 100% and if that's the case, next yes, it will shrink. The shrinkage would be both from the length and width, but mostly contained by length.

Any natural fiber can shrink.

Natural fibers are wool, cotton, linen, etc.

Synthetics do not shrink. Polyesters, rayon, etc.

But do check the support tag, it may own been treated so it will resist some shrinking, but you should other take presage not to machine dry a garment made near natural fibers, as in attendance is a tendency for it to shrink and/or lose its shape.
Answers:    Yes, 100% linen will shrink. The best thing is to dry verbs; if not afterwards wash surrounded by cold water near Zero (or equivalent) with a placid motion, then dangle to dry. Iron them while still damp beside a press cloth because linen gets a shine to it when it is ironed. They will never look as nice as when they are dry cleaned; the stuff will be softer and will be more creased.
