I use the Downy brand of fabric softener and it keep the clothes smelling good and helps to soft them up. I use Kirtlands(SP) brand from Costco, Love the smell and the price.
I use it for everything except towels because I love the scent it leaves on things. I don't use it on towels because sooner or later near is a build up and it makes the towel less leaky and harder to get dry. I use Downy Fabric Softener, so the laundy is softer and more comfortable to wear or use. Good luck!
Answers: I use a fabric conditioner to dull static, especially on synthetics or synthetic blends, particularly during the winter.
On cottons, like t-shirts, it cause them feel softer.
I don't use it on fabrics where on earth absorbency is important, like dish towels or facade cloths. I do use it on bath towels, however, for the softer feeling.
I am assiduous to avoid using fabric conditioner with the tentative microfiber cloths that don't need soap. It clogs them, and they don't work any more.
