why do people cover the top of their wash machine near a towel?? when they are not using it??

Answers:    Two very pious reasons.

#1 - The top of a wash machine is flat. Why shouldn't you do your stain pre-treatment, bleaching, and/or laundry folding on the top of your washer while you are waiting for the rest to come verbs & dry?? And if you are bleaching, wouldn't you want something to catch the bleach in the past it leaks past its sell-by date the washer and ruins your new & expensive shirt that you are wash for the first time??

#2 - Prevents dust &/or hair (from other family &/or pets) from getting in the mechanism when not in use. Also prevents other things from getting inside the wash drum as well...
How can you verbs candle wax on tablecloth?
I've never hear of that! Maybe they are scared of dampen jumping out!
