Does anyone know a good way to verbs an oven without using oven-cleaner type chemicals? Also, can you really line the bottom of the oven beside tin foil?
I use my steamer to clean the oven and the gas grill! It works great on anything grease related! It's one of those Shark canister type ones. It's also great on wood work, walls, counters, cabinet..just about anything buy ya enjoy to be careful around wallpaper!

I got tired of the chemical item and decided to give a steamer a try and I'm glad I did!

I know associates who do line the bottom of their ovens with foil but I enjoy heard it messes the oven up in regard to how it reflects heat a bit than absorbs it. If it's really a problem, you can buy silicone oven liners.
Go to a cleaning supplies store, not the supermarket and buy some concentrated orange cleaner. Paint it on or spray it on and go. It is also a good idea to heat up the oven a little first. Leave a few hours and use a good scrubber to loosen and wipe it out next to fresh water and cloth. A glass scraper or similar is also flawless if you have really baked on stuff in your oven . I close to this method as it smells really nice, is kind to your nose and hand and you can use your oven without heating it first to receive rid of the smells associated with other caustic cleaning stuff.
To verbs the racks you can also paint the cleaner on neat and then scrub or alternatively put surrounded by your laundry sink to soak awhile with some quality laundry soaker - use a rope brush to loosen the baked on gunk - I find Amway stuff to be good
Yes you could line the oven near foil but be careful not to put it on the element if you hold one in the bottom of the oven
Answers:    I use baking soda and really hot white vinegar to clean my oven when it gets objectionable. I don't like using oven cleaners or the self cleaning as they are stinky and hot to use. I scrub with a 3m scrubber made by dobie. You can splash your oven bottom with tin foil if it is an electric oven but it is not recommended as it magnify the heat and can burn out your element. You can buy those washable oven liner that you cut down to size for about $8 for a set of two at Wal-Mart and Bed Bath and Beyond and they work great. They wipe clean near a damp paper towel no event the mess on them. If you don't like baking soda and vinegar then you can also wipe a runny coating of orange hand cleaner cream over the trouble spots, allow to sit more or less 5 minutes then rub it away using a soft cloth then wipe verbs with a damp duster. Very quick, easy, serene and good smelling.

Yes you can line the bottom of the oven with tin foil.
