Over craigslist, I just got an IKEA futon stool. Its used, had been within a basement for a year, and is rather dusty and dirty. And since it belonged to a college student, I am sure once it be the duty boff bit of furniture, oh joy, haha.
Anyway, I am looking on either how to verbs this mattress throughly myself, or, how I could go about looking for a mattress cleaning service. Any google business look into tends to only bring up a come to your house cleaning/upholstery cleaners. I am looking to bring it somewhere, similar to a dry cleaners, for professional cleaning.
Thank you for any help/advise.
Answers: Here is a way that I cleaned an entire couch. And it worked well! No prank. And so I would use the very same method on a futon.
Start at the beginning of a massively warm day w/o any rainfall in sight for a few days. Hang it by a rope surrounded by a tree. Spray it with some detergent. Hose it down multiple times till you are sure that the detergent is out. Let it hang till dry.
I would go and get a solution of a good laundry detergent and water and swab it off real upright yourself. And Let it air dry outside in the sun. Fresh nouns does wonders! That should take care of it if nearby is no pet/urine smell on it. Frebreze is great for touch ups.
