I just moved into a rented house and within is a chemical smell in the freezer. To try to receive rid of it, I turned the freezer portion off, took adjectives the food out, wiped it down next to lysol and let it nouns dry. The smell was gone. I put adjectives the food back contained by and turned the freezer back on. However, when I checked the freezer after that, the chemical smell was wager on, although not as strong. Baking soda doesn't work. The smell does not occur contained by the fridge, only the freezer.
I'm concerned because the smell is affecting the penchant of my food, I had to throw out my frozen lunch pizza yesterday because it taste as though it had obsessed the smell. Any idea what this might be, and how I can fix it?

FRION!!!
Frion is as chemical used contained by refridgrant to make it cold. What you own here is a problem. The frion pip may have a small overrun. This means that the smell is also escaping. Your best bet is to buy a alien fridge.
Sounds like freon overflow. Have the unit checked. We hold coolers here at the school and I hold had indistinguishable problem. Turned out to be a freon leak.
