I was hoping someone can help me. I am looking for a hearth rug cleaner. Its advertised on the TV just immediately and is a wee hand held one. I think you can get hold of it in Poundstretchers and maybe Woolworths. Does anyone know what I'm conversation about and what its called??
I own an Oreck. It is wonderful on furnature, car interior and fluffy carpets. However it cannot take enough suction on a berber. if you have berber you inevitability ot do dry cleaning or Kirby form cleaning works fabulous if you have the $ I personally use a Bissell, every one I've have has done a great job! I also agree next to one of those answers, most "shampooers" clean only the top and nearby is still lots underneath. Thats why I stick to a steam cleaner!

good luck

We have be trying to get our carpets cleaned thoroughly for ages and hold tried various different products including vanish etc. They appear to get the carpet verbs on the surface but then within days the dirt starts to reappear.

A few months ago we hired 'The Rug Doctor' from our local B&Q, it be only 24.00 for the hire and our carpets come up like new and after a few months they are still great.
Answers:    Don't know if it is alike thing, is it Miracle Dry Foam shampooer thing? A paw held thing with foam rollers that cleans carpet? Not electrical, just elbow grease to power it?

I got one a while ago, it is OK for small areas, spillages etc, but I wouldn't use it for a total room. The liquid that comes with it is OK, but zilch special. But you don't have to use that liquid - other hearth rug cleaning liquids work as well, but for better. I used left over rug doctor fluid with it fine, it worked a treat on a trail of feel pen on the carpet!

If you want to do a whole room/s after you can hire a rug doctor machine from places like B&Q or Somerfield for something like lb25, I use this for my carpets and it is great.
