I bought a gallon of professional strength goof off to get some elderly adhesive carpet nouns off my hardwood floors. The carpet lining stuck to the floors and Im almost finished pulling the excess padding but have a stick residue on the floor. I do not want to refinish the floors as they are really nice. Will goof bad take off the finish? or is it out of danger to use.
Answers: Yes & there's another product you can try called Afta by Gardsman. I use it for everything.
I used it to take bad latex paint and really old scotch tape from my hardwood floors and it worked great. It did not overexploit the floor at all. Just left aft that chemical smell.
