What happens if you wash a down or barb pillow in the washing contrivance and it says to dry clean lone? Is there another way to clean up it without dry cleaning, it has dog pee on it and Im not sure appendage washing will remove it all...appreciation
I enjoy a queen sized down comforter that I wash at the laundrymat as it is too big for MY machine. It will look pretty dismayed when you remove it from the washer but putting it in a dryer that was sizeable enough for it with some tennis ball or a nice clean pair of cover tennis shoes will bring it back nice and fluffy. Make sure it is really dry before use or it will capture matted .A fabric softener sheet makes it smell nice! I've wash down pillows and comforters in the washer and dryer.. they always turn out fine. Throw a cup of white vinegar contained by there with it too.. that will lend a hand get the dog pee smell out. :o)
i would really discourage washing a down feather anything unless you COMPLETELY dry it. you dont hold to dry clean but the tag probably recommend you dry clean it so no liquids are getting on it. if you dont dry the feathers completely it will smell close to pee and not because your dog pee'd on it but because the feathers are wet and moldy. do put it in the dryer on the cool cycle. You can rinse out it in your washer and put it in the dryer. Leaving it out surrounded by the hot sun would be better to dry. Once I spilled beer on my down comforter and called the dry cleaners. They couldn't come to get it for a couple days and said it would be okay to rinse it, that they would be getting it damp anyway so I just washed it.
Answers:    Tumble dry with a softball to fluff the feathers. I've never had one smell, but you involve to dry as soon as wash cycle is done. Never tried cool air and it might work, but would lift longer.
Wash it on the delicate cycle, nouns dry
