I have an elderly friend beside a room air cleaner that uses a floor model videotape style/hepa type air filter. Unfortunately, the replacement cartridges can cost over $80. He asked me if he could verbs it in any opening to extend it's useful go and I admitted my ignorance on the concern.
The actual filter looks to be a paper/cellulose type material sheltered inside a perforated metal bracket next to rubber caps at top and bottom (just resembling an automobile engine air filter). I'm sure the cap are sealed surrounded by that the cartridge is designed for disposal once it become clogged with particulates, but at the cost of replacing, in attendance is hopefully a way to verbs the filter for further use. Let me hear from you if you know anything about this subject. Thanks!
Answers: most plausible not... it's been agreed for a long time that HEPA filter cartridges are really expensive... the factory filter is not going to be cleanable, they could make some washable/reusable ones, but the price would be even greater, and the filter would go down after respectively "use"
we have blown ours out beside compressed air up to that time.
