They start out larval, little black wormy things in the hearth rug, then turn into little beetle, 2mm long or so. Too small to take a photo of so I drew one. They dont look close to the carpet beetle I googled, so I dont know.

They are dark brown, next to a tan superhero stripe across their back. Apparently they have undetected wings too.

What are they and how can I capture rid of them? I had the runner steam cleaned 2 days ago and the guy said they werent carpet beetle but that steam should kill them anyway. Guess not.
They will also live within clothing.
My dryer is running but not putting out...
Answers:    They look a little bit approaching a roach. Use roach spray on a daily justification. That should get rid of them. Or use a fogger if you enjoy lots and lots.
