Hi all,

Bought a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner yesterday as they claimed it picked up 99.5% of the dirt compared to what's on today's souk, which picks up 5%. But for those of them who have them at home, did you find them better than what you have previously?
i bought a kirby back surrounded by the 60's and still have it. it works great and i close to that i can get parts for it when needed. expensive but worth every dollar i spent for it

Hi, yes, I've had a Kirby vacuum for years.. I love it! My parents have one too, while I was growing up and the runner looked great! I think that's one of the best investments my home and I've made.

Good luck!
Answers:    My mother-in-law bought one and hated it. But with ease she's old and couldn't exactly amount out the way everything worked on it, they are more complicated to regulation over to a hose for different kinds of cleaning. Anyway, she give it to her son and his girl friend. She didn't like it any. When the salesman came by our house luckily my wife remembered almost the one her mother had bought. They be asking some ridiculous price$1200 or so I think. After they moved out I saw a bunch of brand new ones on ebay for similar to $700 I think it be. Anyway, we got ours free from her brother and it does work amazingly well. It will push stuff around if you gain the head too low on the hearth rug, you have to angle the head up somewhat with the little adjusters on the side after lower it back down so you're insightful cleaning again. They're built like a reservoir, but fairly well to take apart if you involve to work on it. I'd recommend it.
