Ant Spray on Carpet!? I know i'm dumb...but i had a ant attack...and I stupidly applied...

I know i'm dumb...but i had a ant attack...and I stupidly applied ant spray on my carpet.I hold 2 cats and a dog that like to roam my house...its in a corner...but knowing my cats they will turn and inspect the new smell.

I have put down Talcum Powder simply to repel the ants...but the smell won't go away...and I have sprayed a soapy sea mixture everywhere in my room. I have closed the door and put a towel on the ground. I can't embark on my window because my screen is person fixed...damn cats. At the moment I am sleeping in the living room.

What else can I do?
When do I know it is safe for my pets to walk back in my room?
When is it locked for me to be able to sleep in my room?
How do I procure the smell out without opening window?

Sorry for all of the questions but this have never happened to me before.

Thanks,
Chris
You entail to blot up the water with towels. It should be locked after it is dry. Doesn't the container tell you that. If you don't get the runner dry it will sour and mold.
I don't under stand why you would put soapy water every where on earth when you had a little ant spray contained by the corner. Should have left it alone. It individual takes a tiny amount of ant/bug spray next time. You could put baking soda or dry hearth rug cleaner like "capture" on the ant spray after it is dry to absorb any oil on the carpet. After it sets at least 30 mins or longer vacuume the powder.
If the door is shut near the cats not in there you can embark on the windows in the room and run a lover. Or just open them an inch. It will still be some drying.

Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle it here and in attendance. The ants will come and pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it spinal column to their queen. Ants can¡¯t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die in need her. spray 1/4 tsp of each essential oil

eucalyptus
worm wood
spearment
cedar

mix contained by quart bottle with water and 3 tbs rubbing alchohal
Answers:    Kim G is wrong and didn't even read the interview. Ants can not swallow cinnamon, and thus can not have a problem digesting it. She has no conception what she's talking about.

I guess to give a hand us answer, we would need to know what you sprayed and how much you sprayed.

As a general model, go to the grocery store and rent a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner. Wash your mat a few times. Then, please clean out the dirty water container by hand so the next creature doesn't get more than they bargained for.

I wouldn't allow my pets into the room until the smell is gone.
