Altering long sleeves? I have a cracked wool coat and the sleeves are too long....

I have a cracked wool coat and the sleeves are too long. How long would it take if i brought the coat to a tailor and win the sleeves shortened by maybe approaching 4 inches?
Answers:    Once a tailor has explicit the length you need to run up,
it doesn't take a long time to do the altering. First you
have need of to undo the hem between the bin liner and the
sleeve fabric, the inside layer and sleeve fabric will be
measured and stained for trimming- then a current hem
is pressed in the sleeve material and the lining. The 2
fabric are then stitched together and pressed, next
the tailor will put a couple of tack stitches to hold the
hem securely. I can do this surrounded by under an hour- your
tailor can describe you whether you can pick up your coat
the next morning or maybe even alike day (if you bring
it surrounded by first thing contained by the morning) But that depends on how
many other projects they enjoy to get done beffore they
can do your coat.
It should hold them no more than an hour, but if they are busy they might be unable to receive to it on the same light of day.
